Quay Celtic Football Club participate in the Dundalk Schoolboys League at U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U18 age groups. We also compete in the Dundalk Summer League at Senior Level and have one Senior team in the Leinster Senior League. Quay Celtic F.C would like to take this opportunity before the season starts to inform parents and guardians that it is not the responsibility of any manager,coach or member of the club to organise the transportation of any children to or from any training or match fixtures home or away.The only exception of this is when travelling to an away game by bus.It is strictly the responsibility of the parent/Guardian to arrange appropriate transport.
The Under8 and Under 9 blitz takes place tomorrow in Oriel Park,The Under 8's must meet in Oriel at 9.45am and the U9's meet at 1.30pm also in Oriel. Please make sure that all children are wearing club socks and shorts. To see match order click on the Results and Fixtures Link or click here
The official opening of our new facilities took place last weekend 22nd August at Clancy Park,with Anne Kieran and Angela Mullholland unveiling a plaque in memory of Sean and Cathal who passed away before the work was completed.A great day was had by all with bouncy castles,face painting etc.Hamburgers and Ice creams ,minerals and crisps were in abundance to keep hungry mouths fed and watered.The official unveiling was at 3pm after a short blessing with representatives of both families present along with members of the Minor League and Dundalk Summer league, club members past and present were also in attendance along with some local celebrities (James Clarke).The weather played a big factor in the day being a success and luckily the sunshine held out for the day,we would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for helping organise the event,but a special mention must go to Bridgie and Jim for cooking the burgers,Thomas O'connors daughter and friend(apologies I forgot their nam [read more]
Congratulations to Quay Celtic u.14's who won the Dundalk 5 a side competition in Oriel Park last Sunday. In a highly competitive competition the Quay were victorious by beating Bellurgan 4-3 in the final. To view photos click here. Well done to Dundalk for a very well run event.
The season is starting roughly aound Mid September and most teams should be starting back into training next week if they havent already started.Click on the Training button in the Menu to found out Training times. The registration fees for the coming season are the same as last year €75 for u11's through to u16's and €50 for u10's,with a charge of €25 for any other family member.All players playing under 10 this year are required to produce a copy of their Birth certificate,this is a requirement from the Dundalk Schoolboys League not Quay Celtic. We also have a number of club windbreakers which we are selling off at €25 each,we have only certain sizes available at this price and this price is only while stocks last.Letters will be going out to all parents. As you are aware we are trying to acquire a defibrilator for the club and to do this we need to collect 500 old mobile phones,if you or any of your parents have any old phones at home or at work,please bring them into the clubhouse.
